“In the last five to ten years I have seen leap toads disappear, various butterflies, and bees disappear including my favorite the bumblebee.”
I have lived here for 38 years. In the last five to ten years I have seen leap toads disappear, various butterflies, and bees disappear including my favorite the bumblebee.
Also in the last five years winters are inconsistent from freezing temperatures one day to the sixties the next, plus no real snow accumulation. I feel there’s no such thing as a spring rain anymore its always like monsoon season with heavy downpours every time it rains with flooding that didn’t use to occur. Summers are brutally hot and extremely dry and with drought conditions more prevalent than ever. Where I live most of us only have well water, so if they run dry from drought there’s nothing we can do about it.
I can remember when seasons were consistent, when it was winter it was cold and snowy, now that’s not the case.
