Saving Mr. Splashy Pants

More evidence on direct action getting the goods.

Update on the story I blogged last week.

Greenpeace is reporting that they have disrupted the Japanese whaling fleets slaughter of 1,000 whales “by chasing the fleet’s whale processing factory ship out of the whaling zone.” Thus ending this season’s whale hunt in the southern seas.

The Greenpeace Vessel the Esperanza reportedly scattered and turned back the six vessel processing fleet by “heading toward them at high speed.”

The Japanese have said that Greenpeace’s actions are illegal and the world should stop treating them as heroes.

Anyone preventing the murder of a 1,000 whales -legal or illegal- is a HERO in my book.

Good on ya, Greenpeace!
