Spread the word and tell your friends which products not to buy – if they change their ways, congratulate them publicly.

Peanut butter is not worth harming the earth, or harming animal’s homes. So many peanut butters don’t use palm oil. Use them instead.

Forests have an ecological value we can’t even calculate properly using today’s tools. Please consider stopping to cut it down for farmland. JP, biologist, 23 years old.

I think Orangutans are amazing creatures and they shouldn’t live in fear of having their homes cut down. Sam age 10

Selfish corporations, and ultimately ignorant people are the main cause of deforestation..Stop destroying natural habitats!!!!
  • commented 2016-01-26 05:45:38 -0800
This is so sad. I solemnly promise not to purchase any products containing conflict palm oil, and I hope other commenter do the same. These big corporations don’t care about the lives they affect, only their pocket books.

Plantations have robbed indigenous people of their land and livelihoods – Zoologists believe if the deforestation continues at the same rate then orangutans will be extinct in the wild in six years. The destruction of the rainforests has begun to cause climate change, if we don’t start doing something to save the fauna & flora, there won’t be a future for us or our loved ones!!!
    It all starts with us!!!

Urangutans deserve better, and so does all the other animals affected.

It’s incredible that there are only 76 reactions when that we need 60,600 names in order to make this possible. These animals don’t deserve to lose their homes and lives just because we like to eat all this processed food. Please, help

Preserving our environment and the animals for future generations is way more important than snack food… End the palm oil industry today!

Palm cultivation and harvest is one of the most destructive agricultural industries on the planet. Practices must be changed to become more sustainable, eliminating deforestation as an inevitable consequence to this industry. It is not just orangutans, but the entire ecosystem, society, and planet.

Please stop taking the homes of so many innocent animals for money!

I have seen the palm oil plantations in Malaysia and the devastation caused to the rain forests, orange tans and other flora and fauna. It was, quite frankly, horrifying. In this day and age, there are many less environmentally devastating options that can be used. Corporations must move beyond short term profit and become citizens of the world. After all all corporations are made up of individuals. Don’t forget we borrow the earth from our grandchildren. Without a future there can be no profit and hence no corporations. This issue far transcends 1 species. Rainforest devastation has severe long term consequences. Wake up and act!!

Palm oil is pretty much used from chocolates to butter. Nobody really cares what they bring back home from the grocery stores when they buy a product which contains palm oil. That only encourages the big giants to destroy more orangutan homes to produce the snack. Us consumers can make the difference. Let’s stop buying products which contains Palm oil. Lets all make the difference and save life’s. All the best

These environments are more important than just palm oil. How many species not just orangutans are being impacted by our choices as a species. Surely there is another way other than death and destruction which will benefit all.

No to palm Oil – i will boycott absolutely anything that is made with it. It is disgusting that people can do this with no guilt or remorse. What kind of world is this.

I am totally disgusted in the denuding of forest by palm oil companies. These selfish and greedy businessmen have and are displacing orangutans and other wildlife like the ones in Indonesia.

Rainforests which are far more valuable to earth and everyone than when they and all that exists within them are gone. What can money buy if there are nothing of value left?

By the way, I hope this site knows what it is doing because as far as I have known, the palm oil that we consume from the market came from cultivated palm tree farms and not from wild palm tree forests. So this site’s intention is questionable.
