I will not use any products containing palm oil and disagree with the continued production of products containing palm oil. Please don’t allow money to be your priority over our home. Earth.

Money talks, and money has the power to change things. “Conflict Palm Oil” should not be an allowed ingredient in any consumer products. There are too many alternatives that will not affect the PepsiCo bottom line as much as losing sales due to customers boycotting their products. All PepsiCo products containing any palm oil, or palm oil related products that are not responsibly produced and obtained will no longer be purchased in our household. And I will do everything in my power to continue spreading the word! There is no excuse for allowing the current situation in Sumatra, or any other rainforest location, to continue. How bad of a public image do you want to have PepsiCo?

I will not use any products containing palm oil. Please find an alternative oil in your products and stop deforestation. Your company is destroying our planet.

Those of us who care enough about this subject have to be grown up about what we say about it. We have to be taken seriously about what and why we want it. Educate yourself so that you can discuss coherently on e.g. what palm oil is used for, and which companies are using it-you’ll be surprised-are you willing to give up your Pepsi, cookies, lipstick or ice cream!! Alot of information about those companies transgressing, and to what degree, and more importantly actions you can take-other than in a comment can be found at this link: https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable-business/palm-oil-name-shame-wwf. Saving the Rainforests- what a huge undertaking-where do you start-what can you do-can whatever little you do make a difference. Well, a very bright young man called Topher White has devised an early warning system using old mobile phones to listen for chainsaws being used in rainforests. Now THAT is really DOING something. Check it out at Rainforest Connection. I think Topher has done his bit. It’s time for us to do ours-check it out, put it on your FB page, your Twitter account, your Instagram account, share it with everyone you know, make those friend numbers that you built up really count. Well done, now you have really made a difference.

Stop destroying the rain forests. Can’t you see all the suffering you cause?
  • commented 2017-08-03 21:24:51 -0700
Please don’t destroy rain forests. What will you do with the orangutans kill them so that you guys can use palm oil.

I didn’t know that orangutans were directly affected by the palm oil industry, but I did know about the damages that palm oil harvesting does to the environment. I’m sad tough that this campaign uses orangutans as the reason to stop the palm oil industry because they’re only an incredibly tiny part of the problem. This affects literally all life form, even sea creatures of all things. The problem is not that palm oil harvesting in general is bad, but the way we do it IS, becasuse this industry is not sustainable. If we used less palm oil we would reach a point where it doesn’t affect the life of living creatures (including ourselves) and thus it wouldn’t be such a big deal. But right now, we’ve come to a point that palm oil is getting so overused that it may be considered as a fossil ingredient, just like petrol. The worst of course is not the fact that we might one day not have palm oil anymore, but rather that our living conditions won’t be great anymore. Because destroying the rainforest means shit weather, shit temperature, shit food, shit resouces, and in general a shit planet. You see, people often use animals to sensibilise environmental issues and if you’re a 13 year old animal lover girl, you’re gonna want to support environmental protection simply because “those poor cute animals don’t deserve this”! But if you’re a 18 year old 100% meat eater man like me, the tactic of using animals to promote environmental protection doesn’t work. Well guess what, as I said earlier, that would badly affect humans too. An apocalyptic film would have worked as well as this, if not more, because that’s literally what could happen. Rainforests means food and resources, and with 7.5 billions humans, we don’t even need to destroy the rainforest to get a worldwide food shortage! Not to mention more extreme weather (hotter summers and colder winters), extreme air pollution which has a devastating impact on life quality and the fact that we won’t have anything left to build our homes, cities and objects. In other words, it’s either no Nutella, or putting humans and other life forms at great risk of extinction. Choose wisely.

The human race has become so selfish, thinking it is on the top of the pyramid, but it has got to a point where it massively destroys for the most meaningless things. Animals, plants, insects and even parasites, viruses and bacterial have an important role on this planet, much more important than ours. Why are we so selfish? Why do we always want to destroy everything? We should preserve the life of the other species. We are not in the past anymore to not be able to realise the effect we have upon our lives by acting like this. This selfish destroying actions should be stopped. There is already an overproduction of… everything. Why should we have even more?

It is not enough with just a signature and a comment. We need to get involved and informed; we need to do our research and stop buying any an all the products that affect the ecosystem. It is with our money that companies understand, sadly, not with our petitions. Let’s recover and heal our planet and start sharing it equally with all living organisms.

How did we end up here? I’m in awe of the ignorance performed by these companies. Imagine a world where your home would be stripped away and you have no say. These are THEIR HOMES. There are alternatives and why we don’t have the initiative to take advantage of those alternatives , I don’t know. Whether it may be an issue of money or just plain laziness I am still hinged to the fact that it is WRONG. Change takes TIME. Anybody knows that and with that it mind they should take it as a change worth the time. How would they like to be remembered as part of he reason that these animals go extinct? I bet when you start to talk about their reputation it becomes important to them. I won’t be buying products with palm oil in them and I’ll be sure to make everyone I know possible aware of the impact that it has on these helpless animals and the environment. Thank you to whoever made this video and bringing this issue to my attention, Godbless.

Big international companies should make a lot of effort to produce palm oil-free products and if everyone contributes to buy palm oil-free products, we can save these wild animals and local populations.

Too many oft us became heartless and cruel and too many oft us don’t even know about all this. So please don’t hesitate being the small part that thinks different and isn’t ashamed to stand up for what you belive in and do your best to make this world a better one. Every step is a step.

This is an abomination and we need change now! I’ve been reading labels since I became vegetarian 20 years ago and it is a very wise habit to get into. Palm oil can be avoided if we are aware and look for alternatives. Boycott companies who use this and demand that they stop. I’ve created my page https://awarenesshelps.wordpress.com/palm-oil/ to help spread the word.

People need to be more aware of what is happening all over the world., not just in their own neighborhood. Something so simple as boycotting products with palm oil can make a big impact in the pockets of these corporations, as well as the rain forest.
