Anna Rose Mohr-Almeida is a Palm Oil Action Leader in Mesa, Arizona. Anna became involved in conflict palm oil activism when she learned about the disastrous impact of deforestation on endangered species, including the orangutan, tiger and elephant. Anna works to create a future where biodiversity and human rights are more important than profit. Anna is honored to be in community with such engaged and creative activists, and looks forward to connecting with other RAN activists.
Anna is founder of Kids Climate Action Network, an active member of Beyond Coal, was the Youth Keynote at Arizona State University’s Local to Global Teach-In 2014, and was the Grand Canyon Chapter of Sierra Club’s Outstanding Youth 2014. Anna attended the climate march in NYC in September 2014, is the Arizona Leader of iMatter NOW!, and Youth Community Leader with The Green Dot Project, an international community focused on carbon sequestration. Anna plays the violin, sings, draws, and competitively roller skates.
