Learning about the Rainforests Inspires Vintage Hills Students to Help Save Them

Primary tabs

"When our teacher told us rainforests are being destroyed, we thought we should help save them," said Seanna. "We decided to hold a Rainforest Read-a-thon where our parents, friends and family would sponsor us."

Over a three-week period that coincided with the students' study of rainforests, the read-a-thon raised a whopping $2,751.93. These funds will be donated to the Rainforest Action Network, a San Francisco-based non-profit organization that has been working to protect rainforests since 1985.
