impact is RAN’s solutions-oriented program that seeks to publicly acknowledge progressive businesses serving as examples of the viable alternatives to the traditional “pillage and plunder” business model our campaigns work to transform. In addition to providing financial or in-kind contributions to support RAN’s critical work, impact partners must evidence a commitment to sustainability, integrity and transparency, as well as citizen and community accountability as part of their bottom lines.
impact complements RAN’s work to realign the policies of corporations— many of which argue that profits will suffer if their ways of doing business change. Our business-friends-of-RAN program shows both consumers and businesses that it is possible to do well by doing good. Highlighting companies that have committed to and prioritized positive social and environmental impacts empowers consumers to make better choices and ultimately helps transform the global marketplace.
